The Board of Directors serves as a governing board, setting policy and ensuring the fiscal viability of the organization. In addition, members of the Board assist in ensuring adequate financial resources, enhancing the organization's public standing, clearly articulating the mission, accomplishments, and goals, and garnering support from the community.
The Board of Directors meets every other month in person and asks all members to serve on at least one committee. Most committees meet opposite months to the board meeting and meet virtually. Board Members serve three, two-year terms.
Members of the Board are asked to support the organization's mission, sponsor/support and attend its 2 fundraising events annually, assist in seeking additional financial support, community outreach, and volunteer their services. A $300 financial obligation of board dues is required annually. Wonderscope seeks a diverse Board that represents the community and includes diverse voices and perspectives.
