The Dogwood House is building its Founding Board of Directors and seeking committed leaders who want to help establish a strong foundation for a new Christian nonprofit serving women who have survived sex trafficking.
We are currently seeking board members with experience in nonprofit governance and leadership, finance/accounting, fundraising and development, real estate/property development, and trauma-informed care or survivor advocacy. Officer positions, including Board Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary, are also being filled.
Founding board members will provide strategic and fiduciary oversight, support fundraising and community relationships, help guide the organization through its startup and development phases, and partner with the Founder & Executive Director as The Dogwood House prepares to open its first transitional housing program.
Because our Christian faith is foundational to our mission and approach, board members must affirm and support The Dogwood House's Statement of Faith. Board members are also expected to actively participate in meetings and organizational development, support fundraising efforts, and make an annual financial commitment to the organization.
We are especially interested in individuals who are excited about helping build something from the ground up and using their professional experience, relationships, and leadership to help create long-term stability for survivors.
