About the Role
newEar seeks a Volunteer Treasurer to help oversee the organization’s finances and support its artistic mission through thoughtful financial planning, accurate record keeping, and clear reporting. Working closely with the bookkeeper and board of directors, the Treasurer helps the organization make informed financial decisions and plan for the future.
Responsibilities
Work with the bookkeeper to coordinate payments and maintain accurate financial records.
Coordinate the preparation and filing of required nonprofit legal and financial forms, maintain organized records, and track filing deadlines.
Prepare and present financial reports at board meetings, including updates on income, expenses, and the organization’s overall financial position.
Develop the annual budget in collaboration with the board and organizational leadership.
Board meetings are held remotely on the fourth Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Central Time.
