The Midwest Chamber Ensemble prepares its members for future career opportunities by creating a professional environment, providing networking opportunities, an programming a wide variety of repertoire while simultaneously presenting its audience with quality concerts.
MCE is currently seeking聽 board members to serve for at least 3 years and up to 6 years. Typically, a board member spends around 6 hours per month attending meetings, cultivating gifts, and/or attending concerts. Board members perform the following duties:
路聽聽聽聽聽 Solicits donations from concert patrons, individuals, and businesses, and seeks to increase audience numbers
路聽聽聽聽聽 Purchases tickets and attends concerts (usually 6 per season)
路聽聽聽聽聽 Arrives to concert venue an hour and half ahead of time and assists in setting up concert venue by setting up chairs and stands. Assists in moving chairs/stands back to proper locations after the concert.
路聽聽聽聽聽 Utilizes MCE鈥檚 ticket management system to take credit card payments and cash payments for tickets. Will also check in pre-purchased ticket holders as they arrive
路聽聽聽聽聽 Supports the organization by making a monetary donation on an annual basis
Candidates willing to accept leadership positions (president, vice president, secretary) strongly preferred.
The board president serves a 3-year term and is eligible to extend that term for an additional 3 years, per board bylaws.
