Position Recruiting:

Volunteer

Lakeside Nature Center serves the public as both an educational and recreational resource. More than 175,000 people visit the Nature Center annually, hike the trails or attend one of the educational programs to learn about native Missouri animals, plants and their habitats. It serves as one of Missouri’s largest wildlife rehabilitation facilities.

From its founding in 1983, Friends of Lakeside Nature Center (FOLNC) have supported the Center with volunteers and funding.

After completing a training course, there are several volunteer opportunities with FOLNC.

They can assist with educational outreach to schools and groups, event staffing, native gardening, invasive species removal on the Fox Hollow trail system and animal care for our animal ambassadors and/or animals in the rehabilitation hospital.
