Young Professionals Board

We are committed to helping children on the autism spectrum and their families fulfill their potential through ethical, evidence-based treatment, therapy and training.

The Kansas City Autism Training Center’s (KcATC) Young Professionals Board (YPB) is a group of young adults committed to the mission of KcATC by acting as ambassadors and supporting KcATC through fundraising, advocacy, volunteering and marketing.  

Board Members must:

  • Be around their 20s/30s and display an extraordinary commitment to fundraising, volunteering and advocacy. 

  • Be an enthusiastic community advocate for the mission of KcATC, especially  among Kansas City’s young professional community.  

  • Attend and volunteer at KcATC’s yearly fundraising events (golf tournament, gala, sporting clay tournament). 

  • Attend regularly scheduled meetings, held once every quarter and additional committee meetings as needed.   

  • Be involved in the promotion and solicitation of funds to support the organization, its mission and events/activities. 

  • Commit to a one-year term (calendar year), with the option to continue additional years of service.

  • Identify, nominate, and consider potential new members for the young professional board.  

  • Maintain a basic understanding of the mission and programs of KcATC. 

  • Actively work to connect and engage your networks with KcATC and its mission and promote fundraising events.

  • Attend one KcATC Board meeting.

Members will report to and work directly with the Development Director and Development Coordinator at KcATC.
