Join the KCinfertility Board
Help Make a Difference for Those Navigating Infertility
KCinfertility is looking for passionate, dependable individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors. We are a working board, which means our board members don't simply attend meetings and make decisions—we actively do the work that makes our programs, events, support groups, and outreach possible.
We are looking for people who care about our mission, are willing to roll up their sleeves, communicate well, and can commit to being an active part of the team.
Our board currently meets monthly and works throughout the month in smaller committees. The time commitment averages approximately 10 hours per month, although it naturally ebbs and flows depending on the time of year and upcoming events.
What We Ask of Board Members
Commit to a two-year board term
Attend monthly board meetings and participate in committee work
Attend at least two KCinfertility support group meetings each year
Be dependable, organized, and willing to actively contribute
Communicate with the board and ask for help when needed
Attend KCinfertility events when possible. We understand that board members may not be able to attend every event.
Help advance KCinfertility's mission through your time, skills, ideas, and involvement
Help recruit sponsors, participants, volunteers, or supporters when opportunities arise, although fundraising and recruitment are not required
There is no financial contribution required to serve on the board.
Living in the Kansas City area is preferred, as many of our programs and events take place locally.
Current Board Opening
Social Media & Marketing
We are looking for someone who can help KCinfertility share our mission, programs, resources, and events with the community.
Responsibilities include:
Creating and designing social media graphics and content
Managing and posting on social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram
Helping maintain and update the KCinfertility website
Creating and sending email communications to our followers
Developing content that promotes KCinfertility programs, support groups, events, and resources
Helping maintain a consistent and engaging online presence
Experience with Canva, social media, website management, and email marketing is helpful, but we are happy to work with someone who is willing to learn.

Good communicators
Willing to ask questions and communicate when they need help
Ready to actively contribute rather than simply attend meetings
Passionate about supporting people navigating infertility
Open to learning and taking on new responsibilities
You don't have to know everything about infertility to make a difference. You don't need previous board experience, either. What matters most is that you're willing to show up, contribute, and work alongside others who care about this mission.
