Friends of Infant Toddler Services of Johnson County (FITS) supports infants and toddlers and the people who care for them by strengthening the systems that make early intervention possible, helping families access resources, stay connected, and thrive. We focus on practical, behind the scenes work that keeps services organized, responsive, and sustainable for the community.
We are seeking a Board Member with a passion for IT and technical systems to serve in an active, at large governance role. This volunteer board position helps guide FITS’ strategic direction, accountability, and organizational effectiveness, with a specific emphasis on improving our databases, data practices, and core technical tools. Board members contribute approximately 3 to 5 hours per month through meetings and committee work, support fundraising and resource development, and provide steady oversight to ensure our infrastructure keeps pace with the needs of the children and families we serve.
This role is well suited for someone with experience, professional or volunteer, in databases, data management, systems administration, reporting and analytics, or nonprofit tech platforms, and who values collaborative problem solving, reliable operations, and mission driven impact.
