Englewood Arts has been a cornerstone of Independence's cultural landscape, supporting the community through the development of residential and commercial incentives, public art, art events, art programs, philanthropy, and community outreach initiatives, resulting in a thriving community with increased engagement and pride. Our focus on supporting the arts and artists to revitalize and stabilize housing is unique, putting our organization at the vanguard of community development. As a board member, you will play a crucial role in guiding our organization's strategic direction, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and advocating for our mission. Your term will involve:
Attending our board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. Meetings are held in person at the Arts Center quarterly, and via Zoom if you cannot be physically presentlly present
Participating in at least one committee based on your interests and expertise
Supporting fundraising efforts and community outreach
Providing oversight and strategic planning input
Serving as an ambassador for Englewood Arts in the Greater Kansas City community
