Clement Waters Retreat is a community-rooted nonprofit advancing preventive community health by reconnecting people with nature, nourishment, and shared care. We combine nature-based wellness practices with land stewardship, using research-backed methods to support stress management, trauma recovery, improved nutrition, and long-term community health. We prioritize approaches that are community-led, culturally rooted, and operationally sustainable.

We are seeking a Vice President to help guide the organization through a governance-strengthening and stabilization phase starting in late March 2026, to serve until March 2029.

This is an active governance role, focused on:

• Fundraising stewardship and long-term sustainability

• Ethical governance and organized information

• Strategic clarity aligned with community-valued priorities

Commitment:

• 3-year term

• ~3–5 hours of attention per month

• Personal annual Give-or-Get of ~$1,000 (flexible by capacity)

This role is a good fit if you:

• Value preventive, upstream public-health work

• Are comfortable finding possibilities hiding within real-world constraints

• Prefer stewardship and shared progress

Not a fit if you’re seeking:

• A symbolic board title

• Program-level control

• Rapid, showy expansion
