Board Meeting Schedule
The 1ninety-nine Board of Directors meets monthly, with an additional annual Board Retreat held on the first Saturday in November.
Alternate monthly meetings are conducted virtually.
In-person meetings are typically hosted at:
Olathe Public Libraries, or
a local business board room/community partner location.
Board members are expected to maintain at least 8/12 meetings attendance at scheduled meetings and retreats. 3 consecutive unapproved missed meetings, there is assumed resignation from the BOD.
Board Candidate Process
Prospective board members begin with an informal meet-up with co-founders Rachel Heidrick and Lori Jonas to learn more about:
the 1ninety-nine mission and vision,
organizational culture,
Core Values, and
expectations of Board service.
If both parties feel there may be a strong mutual fit, the candidate is invited to attend three consecutive Board of Directors meetings as a guest observer. During this time, candidates are encouraged to:
observe board operations,
ask questions,
engage in discussion, and
share more about their personal connection to the 1ninety-nine mission.
Following these visits, candidates who wish to pursue board membership may formally express interest. The Board of Directors then votes on board placement.
Advisory Committees
1ninety-nine advisory committees meet either monthly or quarterly, depending on the committee’s scope and activity level.
